Hey,
I havent been by here in a while...obviously. I like the new layout. It's way better that the one I used to have up here 'cause I gots no internets SKILLZ.

I think the reason this community died, is because there really is a limit on what all you can say about these three guys. Once you reach a point it's all been said and it gets boring, plus if you notice, successful communities are the ones where people just talk about themselves, or get advice for themselves, or anything involving the user. Talking about someone else can only keep people's attention for so long.

Plus all the damn fan girls that were all over this place...that killed it for me.

Because I'm bored, I decided to look up the traits Jim Morrison has dealing with the day he was born on.

in this death announcment for jimi hendrix i found on the internet it says that he was only 24 when he died, which i think is just apalling, cos he was 27. have a look for yourself.

personally, i give mad props to hendrix and zeppelin, and i love both. but i'm mainly into the doors.
and before i joined i scrolled through some of the older posts
and there was a post about the 34th anniversary of jim morrisons death
and the question came up of where jim morrison is buried
well...the coffin is buried in paris, france
maybe later i'll make a post all about the various theories on his death
but right now i don't have time
but a little fyi to those who were previously unaware
it's paris, france ladies and gents.
and one of these days
i'm taking a shot of whiskey at his grave
in honor of sir mojo risin.

LONDON - Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page went to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday to receive an Officer of the Order of the British Empire, or OBE, from Queen Elizabeth II — but the award was for his work with poor Brazilian children rather than his music.

The 61-year-old rocker said he was overwhelmed to be given the accolade, recalling how he first became involved with Brazilian children in 1994 when fighting broke out between street gangs while he was in Rio de Janeiro promoting an album.

"At that time in Rio the sun wasn't shining. The army was going into the favelas (shantytowns) and I heard about the plight of the street children," Page told reporters.

He joined forces with the British charity Task Brazil and set up a safe house which has so far supported more than 300 children.

"I think when you're faced with a plight that's inescapable, and there's something you can do about it, you hope you can make a difference," he said.

Task Brazil offers medical and psychological support, food, clothing and job training for street children.

Page was a member of the 1960s band The Yardbirds before helping to set up Led Zeppelin.

Im a HUGE Jimi and Led Zep fan, although not so much the doors, i find there a bit to soft. I am a 12 year old guitarist who is extremly influenced by jimi and jimmy, and i spend most of my time playing guitar when im not at school. Probably the next guitar i get would be an Epiphone Les Paul like Pages (im currently using a Squier Strat). Go Jimi and Jimmy.

PS : Pretty much the only bands I like are from the 60s and 70s.

Great design of the page! My respect - it's a wonderful idea to combine all these 3 passions into one word "Jimism" - well done, guys!

I've got 2 questions: 1) where can I find any recent pictures of Jimmy Page, 2004-2005? 2) has he won any Grammies last year?

Thank you, guys

Peace & love

hey, my name is rory and i really dig the doors, hendrix, and led zep. not so much led zep as the others, but enough to join right?

I think jim morrison's voice was pretty fly for rock n' roll and psychadelic, my favorite doors album has to be the self titled, that and then maybe the soft parade or morrison hotel, i thought LA woman sucked. my favorite doors songs are:love me two times, backdoor man, 20th century fox, wild child, wishful sinful, and roadhouse blues, oh yea and peace frogs. its a shame he had that fascination with death.

Yea, i think hendrix was one of the best guitarists ever, though he kinda borrowed his style from Buddy Guy, its ok, because he took it to a different level. I didn't really dig his singles as much as his blues stuff,(i.e. redhouse, come on(let the good times roll), country blues, hear my train a' comin, etc. etc.) i play guitar and i can play the percentage of his hits minus redhouse in its entirety. my favorite album is actually a compilation of his blues songs, its called Martin Scoscese(sp?) presents the blues:Jimi Hendrix, if you dont have it, get it. My favorite song has to be Hear My Train a' Comin( acoustic 12-string version), you haven't heard it, download it, its amazing.

I dont have much to say about Jimmy Page im not that big of a Zep. fan. I listen to them and can play some of their tunes i just dont think Jimmy Page was as amazing as people play him out to be. He could write amazingly catchy riffs, but he wasn't that fluent. My fav. Led Zep songs are Black Dog, Over the Hills and Far Away, and D'yer M'aker(<----download it if you haven't heard it)

I think these 3 are groovy enough to join this community, so thats good enough right?

doors kicked ass and i was so stoned during the show, too bad it jim wasnt there, but his spirit was deffinately.

im not even a huge doors fan but they kicked fucking ass man, they made all of the other bands look like shit. steppen wolf sucked excpet for when they played magic carpet ride. yardbiirds were ok, vanilla fudge sucked and pat travis blew hardcore.

you should all go see em.
